Dédicace aux destructeurs de l’Occident

« It’s criminal
There ought to be a law
Criminal
There ought to be a whole lot more
You get nothing for nothing
Tell me who can you trust
We got what you want
And you got the lust

If you want blood, you got it
If you want blood, you got it
Blood on the streets
Blood on the rocks
Blood in the gutter
Every last drop
You want blood, you got it… »

AC / DC – If You Want Blood You’ve Got It – 1978 (album éponyme)

Mambo italien

« A boy went back to Napoli because he missed the scenery
The native dances and the charming songs
But wait a minute something’s wrong
’cause now it’s
Hey mambo, mambo Italiano hey hey mambo mambo Italiano
Go go go you mixed up Siciliano
All you Calabrese do the mambo like-a crazy with the… »

Dean Martin – Mambo italiano – 1965 [1954, interprétée par Rosemary Clooney]

Stéréotype misogyne

« I can’t get to sleep
I think about the implications
Of diving in too deep
And possibly the complications
Especially at night
I worry over situations
I know will be all right
Perhaps it’s just imagination

Day after day it reappears
Night after night my heartbeat shows the fear
Ghosts appear and fade away… »

Men at Work – Overkill – 1983 (Cargo)

Frissons rythmiques et patriotiques (5)

La Marche des Volontaires de Lafayette – 1780

Reprise frenchie

« Je marche seul le long des rues
Où nous allions tous les deux avant.
A chaque pas, je me souviens
Comme on s’aimait auparavant.
Comment pouvoir t’oublier ?

Il y a toujours un coin qui me rappelle,
Toujours un coin qui me rappelle.
Je suis né pour t’aimer
Et je serai toujours ainsi.
Tu restes la vie de ma vie… »

Eddy Mitchell – Toujours un coin qui me rappelle – 1964 (Toute la ville en parle… Eddy est formidable )

La version originale :

Lou Johnson – (There’s) Always something there to remind me – 1964

Malcolm

« Yes, no, maybe
I don’t know
Can you repeat the question?

You’re not the boss of me now
You’re not the boss of me now
You’re not the boss of me now, and you’re not so big… »

Boss of me – They Might Be Giants – 2001 (Music from Malcolm in the Middle)

Voeu pieux…

« Blue skies, smilin’ at me
Nothin’ but blues skies do I see

Bluebirds singin’ a song
Nothin’ but bluebirds
all day long

Never saw the sun shining so bright
Never saw things looking so right
Noticing the days hurrying by
When you’re in love, my how they fly »

Florent Pagny – Le soldat – 2013 (Vieillir avec toi)

Vivre libre

« Born free, as free as the wind blows
As free as the grass grows
Born free to follow your heart
Live free and beauty surrounds you
The world still astounds you
Each time you look at a star… »

Matt Monro– Born free – 1966 (single, chanson originale)

autre version (ma préférée) :

Andy Williams – Born free – 1967 (album éponyme)

Des jours meilleurs

« Here we are
Burning up in our cars
And in our hearts
Better days
Sleeping late with our headaches
Perfect weather
Congregate
Lay in wait for an answer
They’re still waiting
Grit your teeth
The lucky taste as the day breaks
The blind are leading the blind… »

Unkle – The Answer – 2010 (The Answer EP Out Now)
